About CLAAS

Clean swaths – high yields.

Rakes by CLAAS.

What do rakes have to do with higher milk production per cow?  – The key to high-quality grass silage lies in keeping the crude ash content as low as possible, because crude ash impairs silage quality. Heavy contamination with dirt leads to greater energy losses and poorer protein quality of the forage  – and thus reduces milk yield.

The crude ash content depends on low contamination with soil during the harvest. CLAAS rakes adapt perfectly to ground contours, thanks to the rotor chassis, which is positioned close to the tine orbit. Rotors are free to move independently of the chassis with three-dimensional tracking over uneven ground. This prevents damage to the turf and reduces crop contamination. The jet effect when the rake rotors are raised and lowered also prevents the tines from digging into the ground. In addition, the double-wrapped tines ensure clean crop transfer: the crop is pushed upwards along the tines for gentle, dirt-free transport.

CLAAS rakes: all about optimum forage quality.

Our rakes offer a range of intelligent solutions for reliable performance and comfortable working. Innovative features such as the oil-bath lubricated professional rotor drive housing and easily replaceable tine bars make these machines low maintenance and efficient. Their robust design and accessible mechanical power train ensure minimum downtime and maximum productivity.

  • LINER four-rotor rakes: These are the professionals among rotary rakes. With working widths of up to 49' (15.00 m), these four-rotor rakes handle even the largest fields quickly and efficiently, while protecting the soil.

  • LINER dual-rotor swathers, with central raking: Our two-rotor central rakes series comprises five basic models with maximum working widths of 20' to 32' (6.20 to 10.00 m). The optional hydraulic single rotor lift helps to form particularly clean swaths.

  • LINER dual-rotor rakes  with side swathingThe side rake series covers maximum working widths from 11' to 27' (3.50 to 8.40 m). Most models are also available in the TWIN version, which gives you the option of placing one large or two smaller rakes.
  • LINER single-rotor rakes: Even farms that harvest their own forage and often work on small fields can benefit from the strengths of CLAAS rakes. The compact LINER single-rotor rakes with working widths of 12' to 15' (3.70 to 4.80 m) are ideal for these farms.
