Bales of the highest quality.

The QUADRANT 4000, with bale dimensions of 0.8 x 0.5 m, is a high-end machine that is synonymous with top-quality forage. The packer system makes it ideally suited for hay, alfalfa and straw in particular. With the optionally available DUO PACK, two bales can be stacked vertically, saving valuable time when it comes to gathering, loading and transporting the bales.

Thorough crop clearance.

The design of the QUADRANT 4000 with its wide pick-up ensures enormous pick-up capacity. The pendulum support wheels reliably ensure precise ground adaptation of the pick-up. With short crops, the baffle plate on the pick-up ensures that the crop is optimally cleared and transported to the packer. The wide-angle PTO shaft provides excellent power transmission and smooth operation. The QUADRANT 4000 therefore harvests cleanly and thoroughly – even when cornering or on smaller plots.

Maximum forage protection.

The packer ram moves the crop towards the bale chamber with 122 strokes per minute. The typical CLAAS 2-phase packer with its five tines is located directly behind the pick-up and, thanks to the short distances, ensures maximum crop protection in hay and leafy crops such as alfalfa. It conveys the crop vertically without twisting. Despite the high baling density, the bale remains deliberately loose inside thanks to the homogeneous structure of the baling packs.
Horses require particularly high forage quality. Leaf mass, being an important source of protein and a key forage component, is retained during gentle baling with the QUADRANT 4000. What’s equally important: the forage is virtually dust-free thanks to this gentle process.

The QUADRANT 4000 stands out through its straightforward design. Everything is clearly organised down to the last detail, quickly accessible and absolutely maintenance-friendly. The straight-line drive works reliably with low wear and high operational reliability. The robust central gearbox distributes the drive power to the individual units.
61 powerful piston strokes per minute achieve maximum compaction and excellent throughput in any crop. The QUADRANT takes load peaks during baling in its stride, as the 170-kg flywheel mass behind the main gearbox, secured with 2800 Nm, ensures balance and therefore smooth running. Your result: operational reliability and more bales per hour.

Bale chamber and wrapping/tying.

Square bales.

The 2.12-m long bale chamber with its high frictional resistance and the packer ram driven by the large main gearbox have the potential to produce rock-hard bales even at high throughput rates. The packer ram is safely guided by four large track rollers and, together with the adjustable side plates, ensures perfect bale density in all conditions. Straw, hay or silage are compacted in record time in small bale packs.

Compact.

The baling pressure can be easily and quickly adjusted to the prevalent conditions at any time via the control terminal. The well-positioned guide wheel facilitates high-accuracy monitoring of the bale-length configuration. Bale lengths are fully adjustable within a generous range of 0.70 to 2.40 m. The clean-cut, perfectly right-angled bales leave the bale chamber as highly compact and dense blocks to be deposited onto the field via the roller chute.

Smooth drop.

Important for all contract balers: The optional bale ejector enables you to empty the bale chamber completely by ejecting the last two bales. Nothing is left behind for cleaning the baler and storing it over winter. You can control the bale ejector directly from the outside of the baler. The roller chute gently deposits the finished bales on the field. The TURBO FAN double fan removes stalks, short straw and dust from the knotter area. This ensures optimal quality of work and functional reliability of the knotter even in very dry conditions. No time is wasted on cleaning.

Two bales in one go.

With the coupled DUO PAC bale collection trailer, you always stack two bales on top of each other, which are then deposited on the field as a high-capacity stack. This produces stacks 80 cm wide and 100 cm high, which can be loaded onto transport equipment using suitable clamps.

Efficient.

CLAAS baling twine is specifically designed for CLAAS knotters. The twine is highly tear-resistant and sufficiently flexible to minimise wear to the knotter. With each new refilling, four twine spools per knotter can be tied together without having to alternate between them, which saves time. An intelligent balance of high knot tightness and efficient run length makes CLAAS baling twine a cost-effective choice. CLAAS baling twine is available for all balers, and for different operating conditions.

Every minute counts.

Downtime costs money and is best avoided, making it all the more important that machine care and maintenance is just as smooth and quick as the harvest itself. The QUADRANT 4000 is designed to be maintenance-friendly or maintenance-free throughout. The optional automatic central lubrication supplies all essential machine parts: packer and needles, baling ram and knotter. With its 2-litre tank, the central lubrication system greases the QUADRANT at 45 lubrication points. The lubrication intervals are configured ex factory, but can also be conveniently and individually adjusted from the driver’s seat.

Hard-working yet easy on soils.

A single axle with large 500/55 R 20 tyres is available for the QUADRANT for minimal ground pressure, optimal turf protection and excellent smooth running. The configuration provides a massive footprint to minimise damaging ground pressure, even on very light or wet soil.
