CLAAS Advances Dealer Strategy with New Locations and Investments

OMAHA, NEB. -- (March 23, 2025) – CLAAS of America recently announced that genAG, a prominent Canadian dealer group, will soon open two new long-line CLAAS dealerships, serving growers near Aberdeen, South Dakota and Minot, North Dakota. A third facility will be added shortly thereafter near Bismarck, North Dakota, to provide service and parts support for genAG customers in that area. The new full-service locations will offer the complete CLAAS product portfolio and will strengthen sales, parts and service support across the Northern Plains.

A facility is already secured in Aberdeen and will be the first of the dealerships to open.

“These new dealerships represent an important investment for CLAAS customers and is a commitment to agriculture in the Dakotas,” said Torey Hadland, Vice President, CLAAS of America. “As one of the leading CLAAS dealerships in neighboring Manitoba, genAG brings a strong focus on customer service and technical expertise to the Dakotas, and these locations will ensure farmers in this region have reliable access to the full CLAAS lineup and the support they need when it matters most.”

The new CLAAS dealerships will offer combines,  forage harvesters, and the entire lineup of CLAAS tractors, balers, hay tools and a full complement of supporting technology, including CLAAS Connect. Each location will be staffed with trained technicians and supported by mobile service capabilities designed to minimize downtime during critical operations.

As Butler Ag Equipment finalizes its transition out of the CLAAS dealer network at the end of 2026, the addition of genAG — along with CLAAS FARMPOINT™ locations currently in place and additional ones in the works — will provide essential support for farmers in the region.

“Our goal is to make it easier for customers to do business with CLAAS,” stated Christoph Tetzlaff, Vice President Dealer & Network Development - Americas. “By expanding our dealer footprint with strong partners like genAG, we’re improving parts availability, shortening response times and bringing high-quality service closer to the farm.”

As planning and facility development continue, CLAAS and genAG will share additional updates on store openings, staffing and customer transition plans closer to launch.

Updates in Iowa and Minnesota

Fort Dodge was the latest in a growing number of CLAAS FARMPOINT locations added in Iowa. This permanent location is planted squarely in the heart of some of the most productive corn and soybean acres in the region. The Fort Dodge location was put in place just in time to support harvesting operations for farmers in the region last fall and is fully operational for the 2026 season.

Longtime CLAAS dealer Arnold’s recently added CLAAS combine parts to their Glencoe and St. Cloud, Minnesota, locations. The dealer, known for its strong support of the CLAAS tractor and forage harvesting lines, has expanded its parts support to include LEXION and TRION combines in these key grain harvesting areas.

Alberta Ag Centre Investment

Derek Stimson Holdings Ltd. announced that it has finalized an agreement and has acquired the majority ownership interest in Alberta Ag Centre, a leading dealership representing the long line of CLAAS agricultural equipment. The dealership will continue to operate under the Alberta Ag Centre name, ensuring a seamless transition for existing customers.

“We are proud to invest in Alberta Ag Centre and to help ensure that farmers across southern and central Alberta continue receiving the exceptional service and support they deserve,” said Mackenzie Duke, President and CEO, Derek Stimson Holdings Ltd. “Our priority is stability, continuity and strengthening the CLAAS dealership’s ability to serve its customers for decades to come.”
