A CLAAS of its own.

Pure flexibility.

DISCO front mowers

Designed for maximum flexibility and highest reliability, the DISCO front mower adapts to any operating situation.

The right DISCO for every requirement, working width and tractor

  • MAX CUT for the highest cutting quality.
  • Maximum flexibility. Available optionally without conditioner, with tine conditioner or with roller conditioner.
  • Optimal ground adaptation. Pulled suspension and low-profile pivot point.
  • Folding and transport. Compact and maneuverable in the field – safe on the road.

The technology of the DISCO mower.

MAX CUT.

MAX CUT.

  1. Wave-shaped mower bed allows mowing discs to be placed well to the front
  2. Optimum tunnel effect, further increased by skids with spoiler action
  3. Innovative screw concept for maximum bending and shape stability
  4. Permanently lubricated maintenance-free mower bar for maximum service life
  5. SAFETY LINK safety modules protect the mower bar in the event of collisions
  6. Formed hardox inserts between skids for a clean cut
  7. Very small mower bed openings for maximum strength

Suspension.

Suspension.

ACTIVE FLOAT enables you to respond quickly and easily to all sorts of different conditions, such as wet spots or dry mounds, and non-uniform crop material. The mower ground pressure can be flexibly adjusted with a single-acting control unit even while the machine is working. The current setting can easily be read from a pressure gauge, which is clearly visible from the cab.

Speed reduction.

Speed reduction.

All DISCO disc mowers can also be operated with a reduced PTO shaft speed of 850 rpm, depending on the operating conditions. Thanks to this "built-in economy PTO," fuel consumption is significantly reduced."On average, farms can save up to 22% on fuel by using the reduced PTO shaft speed. When using a DISCO 9200 C AUTO SWATHER, this equates to approximately 0.12 gal/acre (1.16 liters per hectare) and thus, around 1.85 gal/hr (7 liters per hour)." This result was obtained by a student at Kiel University of Applied Sciences after 32 field trials.

Tine conditioner.

Tine conditioner.

Tine conditioners with V-shaped tines in a spiral configuration are ideal for harvesting grass crops. Conditioning intensity is set via a baffle plate. Flexible mounting allows the tines to give way and pass around any objects that find their way into the conditioner – stones, for example. This avoids repair costs. As an option, the harvest crop can also be spread over the entire working width with a wide crop spreader, or deposited in a single swath with adjustable swathing plates.

Roller conditioner with polyurethane rollers.

Roller conditioner with polyurethane rollers.

For leafy forage crops like alfalfa, gentle processing is essential. The goal is to crush the stalks without damaging the leaves. This is where the DISCO mower with roller conditioner proves effective. The V-shaped, interlocking, and exceptionally durable polyurethane rollers crush the tough stalks while protecting the leaves. The degree of conditioning is infinitely adjustable via spring pre-load, which also protects the rollers from foreign objects.

A double roller drive via a specially developed scissor gearbox is standard on the DISCO 3600 F MOVE and PROFIL models – for maximum throughput with very bulky crops. Variable swath plates are used for swath formation.

Roller conditioner with steel rollers.

Roller conditioner with steel rollers.

The optional steel roller conditioners offer an effective solution for the reliable processing of even thick-stemmed crops, such as sorghum.

The specially designed roller profile, with tapered edges, ensures an intensive degree of processing and enables uniform wilting, even with heavy or wet material.

The steel rollers are characterized by low wear and, thanks to the double roller drive, ensure a consistently high throughput.

The models.

Sophisticated linkage geometry for outstanding ground contour following.

DISCO MOVE.

The DISCO MOVE moves both horizontally and vertically, independently of the tractor linkage, and fully accommodates the mower lift height. The low position of the mower bar pivot point for small bumps in the terrain plus the MOVE linkage geometry for larger surface irregularities ensure flawless adaptation to the terrain – with unique vertical freedom of movement of 3' 3" (1.0 m). ACTIVE FLOAT hydropneumatic suspension, adjustable while on the move, is fitted in the mounting block as standard equipment.

Hitching and unhitching.

No additional support stands are needed for hitching and removal. The mounting block is also a very compact structure, ensuring a free view ahead.

Comfortable handling.

A mounting aid on the front mower shows the correct lower link height at a glance. KENNFIXX®-connectors simplify the connection and disconnection of hydraulic hoses thanks to clear color and symbol identification. Depending on the tractor's configuration, the customer can choose the side for mounting the hydraulic hoses and pressure gauge.

Multifunctional headstock.

The unique headstock makes mower attachment quick and easy. Mounting is either via the tractor front linkage or the three-point quick hitch coupler.

Control the front and rear mowers simultaneously.

DISCO MOVE makes an outstanding partner for a DISCO large-scale mower. Depending on the equipment options installed, the front mower can be operated directly via the large-scale mower hydraulics. Additional features deliver superior work performance, and driver stress is further reduced through automated processes.

Everything in full view.

The optional double mirror mounted on the mower increases road safety at difficult intersections.

The right decision.

PROFIL front mowers.

PROFIL front mowers are simply unbeatable. Combining them with a rear or large-scale mower creates a true dream team of mowing excellence. Even when used on their own, they deliver an outstanding result. The patented PROFIL linkage geometry ensures flawless ground-contour following, on any type of terrain.

Three-dimensional ground contour following

PROFIL linkage geometry gives the mowers three-dimensional ground-contour following capability, independent of tractor movement.

The front mower is suspended on a pendulum block and thus adapts ideally to the contours perpendicular to the direction of travel.

Offset pivot point

Thanks to the low pivot point, longitudinal adjustment is guaranteed. The deep ground tracking prevents the mower from digging into the soil and protects the turf. This also allows for higher mowing speeds. The result is a uniform cut.

Maintenance and cleaning.

The protective covers fold upwards all the way around, allowing easy access to the mower bed and all maintenance points – ideal for knife changes, for example.

Like all DISCO front mowers, the mower has an integrated knife box with replacement knives. The drive shafts have a lubrication interval of 250 hours, which further reduces maintenance time and costs.

Compact and powerful.

DISCO 3150 F disc mower.

The DISCO 3200 F is also equipped with MAX CUT professional-level technology. The tunnel effect minimizes crude ash content – a key requirement for top-quality forage. A swathing disc and half-drum are included as standard equipment, ensuring the crop is laid in a clean swath.

For the DISCO 3200 F, there is a choice of either adjustable spring suspension or ACTIVE FLOAT suspension.

Intelligent lateral levelling.

The inclined pivot point ensures perfect ground-contour following to protect the grass cover and keep the crop material clean.

Sturdy structure.

The DISCO 3150 F front mower offers characteristic CLAAS quality. All components have the same quality standards and material thickness specifications as the front mowers in the PROFIL model series.

Compact and close to the tractor.

Thanks to its low pivot point, the DISCO PROFILE follows the ground and not the tractor.
The compact and close mounting on the tractor guarantees ideal ground adaptation and therefore a perfect cutting pattern.

Due to its special design, the DISCO 3200 F PROFIL is also suitable for use on small tractors and special tractors.
