The newly designed picking units of the ROVIO 5 combine gentle crop handling with maximum reliability and even higher throughput: the rounded deck plates ensure a uniform, gentle feed to the picking rollers. Together with the synchronized hydraulic dual deck plate adjustment of the picking plates out of the cab even less foreign material enters the machine, which reduces the load on all components and increases throughput significantly.

Each picking gearbox is equipped with its own integrated overload clutch. Specially hardened feeder chains and maintenance-free bearing points ensure maximum service life and low maintenance effort resulting in lower overall operating costs. The convenient oil filler plug with dipstick allows quick oil checks — each picking unit requires only a one oil chamber.

The 24" inch (600 mm) linear picking rollers, featuring a wear-resistant knife carrier made of high-strength steel and hardened picking roller knives, deliver consistently high-quality performance. Factory-installed additional blade strips ensure optimal stalk feed and a low proportion of crop residue in the harvested material. The bearing points are maintenance-free. This results in lower operating costs and improves overall machine efficiency. 

The massive 21" inch (530 mm) feed auger, combined with the edge-free rolled trough, ensures a particularly gentle and even crop flow between the picking units and the feed channel. The larger intake auger diameter provides up to 30% more capacity. The auger, which is height-adjustable by 1.6" inch (40 mm), can be quickly adapted to changing conditions and guarantees consistent throughput with high efficiency and reliability.

The newly developed power train of the ROVIO 5, featuring two main gearboxes for 12-, 16-, and 18-row configurations, transmits drive power to the pickers smoothly and with minimal effort, ensuring quiet, reliable operation. Gears that can be shifted from the cab via CEBIS allow for quick adjustment of the picking units’ speed to changing crop conditions —ensuring consistent picking quality, reduced wear, and maximum productivity.

With our innovative hood and point design the crops get fed into the picking shaft, even under difficult harvest conditions, in down corn or when navigating through row curves. The wear parts built into the points can be easily replaced as needed. The point height can be set quickly and without tools using a simple screw mechanism.

The ROVIO 5’s integrated side extensions can be raised by 15" inch (375 mm) in a matter of seconds without tools—ready for use at any time. They minimize corn cob losses, especially for tall and down corn, and ensure a safe, even crop flow in the outer rows. 

Four LED work lights with a total output of 4,000 lumens perfectly complement the work lighting on your combine harvester and illuminate the stubble behind the corn picker. This ensures optimal control of work quality even in the dark. 

The ROVIO 5 AUTO PILOT senses two rows using a central sensor and then automatically takes over steering along the row. Intelligent software detects gaps in the crop and compensates for them, ensuring you are reliably guided even in changing or patchy crop conditions. The result: operator comfort  and consistently high picking quality.

AUTO CONTOUR enables precise, automatic adaptation to the ground by actively detecting variable ground conditions. Two hydraulic cylinders on the feederhouse respond respond to the sensing bands, using it to regulate lateral compensation. With CEBIS, setting the desired cutting height is easy.
