The ROLLANT 630 RC.

When CLAAS launched the pick-up in 1934, it revolutionised the harvesting process in Europe and made life easier for farmers. And the latest generation of pick-ups is even more powerful and efficient.

• Four or five (HD) rows of tines leave a thoroughly cleared field
• Optimised lubrication and chain tensioners with guides on both sides reduce wear
• The ingenious pick-up design and position reduce forage losses and contamination

With a working width of 2.10 m, the pick-up can collect even the widest swaths. Large side augers ensure particularly firm edges and stable bales. The MULTIFLOW pick-up adapts to any ground contour, even at high working speeds and when cornering. All components are quickly accessible thanks to the new side covers. Plastic strippers with quick-release attachments increase the ease of maintenance.

More pressure, more density, more efficiency: The ROLLANT 630 RC revolutionises baling. With a swivelling 3-roller segment in the tailgate, it provides additional pressure. The rollers are hydraulically swivelled into the bale chamber. The bale rotates right from the start and is compacted from as little as 90 cm. The pressure can be adjusted from the cab via the CEMIS 700, ranging from 60 to 120 bar.

At 120 bar, the density is maintained even at high speeds. The result: up to 15.3% greater density compared to baling without MPS. If necessary, the knives can swing out automatically to leave the final 5 or 10 cm of the bale uncut. This process is supported by the bale fill level indicator. The ROLLANT 630 RC guarantees high bale density and perfect bale shape in all conditions.

The heavy-duty drive concept of the ROLLANT 630 RC is ideal for demanding silage work, avoids load peaks and ensures high throughput and forage quality. The ROTO CUT feed system delivers up to 13,800 cuts per minute, with four rows of tines pulling the crop evenly through the knives.

The 8 mm-thick cutting rotor with helical double spring tines ensures better crop flow, while a stripper system keeps the rotor clean. 25 knives provide a theoretical length of cut of 45 mm, while 17 knives provide a length of cut of 65 mm. The reinforced individual blade protection ensures high functional reliability.

The comfort net wrapping of the ROLLANT 630 RC is controlled from the cab via the ISOBUS terminal. A hydraulic net brake ensures optimum net tension. The ROLLATEX net wrapping system wraps the bale fully automatically within just a few seconds and guarantees tight wraps across the full width. The number of wraps can be conveniently adjusted to the individual crop using the control terminal.

The ROLLANT 630 RC is available in a variety of models, including options without knives and with 17 or 25 knives, each with knife group activation. There is also an entry-level model with standard hydraulics, where the driver operates the tailgate via the tractor control unit, for example, and a comfort model in which the bale discharge can be automated.

The CEMIS 700 terminal offers three different operating options: touch function, rotary pushbutton and button. The 7” screen impresses with its excellent resolution and user-friendly interface. The terminal can be used to set the net or film wrappings, display the hydraulic pressure in the cab, and raise or lower the cutting frame and knives. Errors are displayed via icons. You can also save up to 20 customer jobs.

The drive chains of the ROLLANT 630 RC UNIWRAP have been reinforced in areas that are exposed to high loads and fitted with larger sprockets to reduce wear. An optimised lubrication system supplies the chains with oil more efficiently, saving resources and extending operating times. The more precise chain guide, the robust tailgate suspension and increased ground clearance during bale transfer enhance efficiency and durability.
