CLAAS square balers use specially designed and manufactured knotters. Single or loop knotters leave no unwanted twine residue on the bale or in the field – this can amount to up to 0.5 m per bale. At the same time, these machines produce maximum bale densities with high knotting reliability.
The bale density of a bale is particularly important. The QUADRANT square balers do an excellent job, compacting straw, hay or silage in the bale chamber in record time. You can adjust the baling pressure to suit the conditions at any time from the control terminal.
Since its market launch in 1988, the QUADRANT square baler has set new standards. Up to 51 knives ensure excellent cutting quality. The pick-up with a working width of 2.35 metres picks up even large and uneven swaths with ease. The optimum amount of forage is determined in the hydraulically controlled prechamber and pressed into clean bales in the bale chamber.
With more than 5,000 units sold, the CLAAS QUADRANT is the best-selling square baler in Germany. Its success is due in no small part to the continuous development of groundbreaking technologies. Milestones in the development of the QUADRANT include the introduction of the ROTO CUT feed system in 1993 and the FINE CUT cutterbar with 49 knives in 2002. Since then, FINE CUT has been synonymous with optimum cutting quality.
Time is money – that’s why it is important to avoid downtime. To ensure that you can bring in your harvest quickly, the QUADRANT square baler works with an optional automatic centralised lubrication system that lubricates all key parts such as the packer and needles, pistons and knotters.
