XERION 12 wins prestigious iF Design Award

CLAAS products have a long association with the iF Design Awards. The first to receive the award over 40 years ago were the DOMINATOR 8 series and the ROLLANT RAPID 56 – the first mass-produced non-stop round baler. To date, 19 CLAAS products have won an iF Design Award (five of them Gold) for their groundbreaking design. The latest Seed Green winners are the XERION 12 large tractors launched in 2023, whose external appearance echos the Y-design of the bonnet introduced in the LEXION 5000 - 8000 in 2019. The judges commented that "The striking proportions are accentuated by the functional exterior design without appearing too dominant. This makes the CLAAS XERION a machine with a strong and remarkable character."

Markus Matthies, Team Lead Industrial Design and responsible for the design of the XERION 12 Series, explains: "Working across departments, we put our heart and soul into this fantastic project, from the very first scribblings in 2018 to the international launch of the XERION at Agritechnica 2023. Following on from the previous international awards such as Tractor of the Year 2024, Farm Machine Award and AE50, the iF Design Award is another outstanding tribute to this team effort."
