“Legends keep rolling” – the ROLLANT round baler has been part of the CLAAS product range since 1976. Thanks to its robust technology and ongoing development, it is the world’s best-selling fixed-chamber baler. We are continuing to build on this success with the ROLLANT 630 RC UNIWRAP. Up to 16 baling rollers ensure compact bales with high core compaction – ideal for harvesting silage. This baler wraps silage bales tightly and airtight with up to six layers of film. Film consumption is minimised by 82% pre-stretching, and the airtight seal enables an optimum fermentation process to produce forage that keeps for months. All ROLLANT models are additionally designed for maximum performance and operator comfort, enabling you to achieve outstanding bale quality even at high driving speeds, while the intuitive operation makes work easier.
The ROLLANT series uses the ROTO CUT system. The cutting rotor with 17 or 25 knives works quickly, precisely and effectively for optimum forage quality. A short and precise cut is important because it is the only way to increase the compaction of cut forage in the round baler so that crops break down more easily down the track. ROTO CUT gives you 44 or 70-mm lengths of cut of excellent quality. The high rotor speed supports more than 13,800 cuts/min. ROTO FEED is particularly well-suited to harvesting delicate forage crops, such as alfalfa. This system works with rotor stars to protect the crop. The result is top-quality forage.
The CEREX 700 is the machine for the highest demands in the CLAAS round baler portfolio. This HD baler with a variable chamber impresses with maximum bale density, high efficiency and a robust design, making it perfect for contractors and large farms. Thanks to its MULTIFLOW HD pick-up, 25-knife cutterbar and innovative PRO cutting frame, this machine consistently delivers a high throughput and excellent forage quality, even in the most challenging conditions.
Thanks to its 1,000 rpm drive, two one-piece HD belts and new chamber design, the CEREX 700 achieves an extremely high bale density. This means fewer bales and lower logistics costs, yet a higher output. The knives are individually secured and the net wrapping system works quickly and economically. Intuitive operation, simple maintenance and well thought-out technology make the CEREX the first choice for professionals who refuse to compromise.
As part of the versatile CLAAS range of round balers, the VARIANT has been impressing customers since 1996 thanks to its variable wrapping chamber for bale sizes from 0.90 to 1.80 metres in diameter. The VARIANT also offers great flexibility in terms of programme selection: operators simply use the CEMIS terminal to set the type of crop to be baled, whether hay, straw or silage. The baler then automatically adapts to the crop.
The VARIANT bales round bales in the shortest possible time and at speeds of up to 3 m/s, which is particularly important when harvest windows are tight. The VARIANT takes just 6 seconds to deposit a bale onto the field: from the time the tailgate opens until it closes again. With the VARIANT, you therefore bale more bales per hour. The MULTIFLOW pick-up ensures an even, clean crop flow in all harvesting conditions. The 360° ACTIVE ROTOR ensures an optimum bale start, resulting in an extra hard bale core. The ROTO CUT system, which comes with either 14 or 17 knives, ensures that the crop is portioned optimally on the VARIANT. The VARIANT’s SMART DENSITY management system fully automatically adjusts the belt tension and guidance to control the pressure according to the preset values for each crop. The result is an optimum bale shape in all conditions.
