CEO CLAAS Group

Jan-Hendrik Mohr

Jan-Hendrik Mohr is a graduate engineer (BA) and has been with the CLAAS Group since 1984. He has held various positions in Research & Development and Production in Germany and abroad, including Head of Development and Sales of Drive Technology at CLAAS Industrietechnik in Paderborn, Germany, Manufacturing Manager of the Caterpillar CLAAS America joint venture in Omaha, USA, and Managing Director Production and subsequently Managing Director Technology of CLAAS Selbstfahrende Erntemaschinen GmbH (CSE) in Harsewinkel, Germany. He then became Chairman of the Management Board of CSE and Managing Director of the CLAAS Group’s Grain Harvest business unit before assuming responsibility for the Sales business unit. In 2016, he resumed responsibility for the Grain Harvest business unit. On 1 April 2023, he assumed the position of CEO with responsibility for Purchasing, Quality, Strategy, Product Strategy, Sustainability and Communications.
 

Chief Financial Officer (CFO)

Henner Böttcher

Henner Böttcher has been a member of the Group Executive Board since 1 November 2021 and CFO of the CLAAS Group since 1 January 2022. In this role, he is responsible for Finance, Controlling, Accounting, Internal Audit and Information Technology.

Prior to his appointment, he was CFO of Lehigh Hanson Inc., the North American subsidiary of Heidelberg Cement, in Irving, Texas, since 2015. He joined Heidelberg Cement in 2003 and was Group Treasurer from 2006–2015. Prior to that, he worked for Deutsche Bank from 1995 in various departments, last in the Global Markets division. After training as a banker, he graduated in business administration from the Frankfurt School of Finance & Management in 2002. He is a Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) charterholder and a member of the CFA Institute.

Christian Radons

Christian Radons studied business administration and agricultural economics in Germany and Sweden. He started his career at CLAAS in December 2000 as part of a one-year trainee programme focusing on finance. After holding various management positions, including in corporate development, he was appointed Managing Director of the technology subsidiary CLAAS Agrosystems, which later became CLAAS E-Systems, in April 2012. Since October 2017, Radons has been Regional Managing Director of the Western Europe and Oceania sales region, and from 2019 also of the Africa and Middle East sales region. He has been a member of the Group Executive Board since June 2020 and is responsible for the global Service & Sales business unit.

Dr Martin von Hoyningen-Huene

Dr Martin von Hoyningen-Huene is a mechanical engineer who started his career as a management consultant and project manager at McKinsey & Company. From 2009, he had global responsibility for various tractor series at John Deere, including as Head of Development. After holding other positions, Dr von Hoyningen-Huene was appointed Manager of the John Deere factory in Arc-les-Gray, France, in 2018. On 1 April 2021, he joined the CLAAS Group Executive Board with responsibility for the Tractors business segment and CLAAS Industrietechnik. Since 1 October 2023, he has been responsible for the Tractors & Implements business unit and the Engineering service unit.

Thomas Spiering

Member of the Group Executive Board

 

After completing his degree in business administration, Thomas Spiering held various specialist and management positions at CLAAS in the areas of Controlling, Sales and Finance in Germany and abroad. As part of a secondment, he took on the role of CFO of CLAAS UK in Saxham, UK, for five years from June 2015, and from 2017 he was also CFO of CLAAS France with responsibility for the Western Europe region in the Sales and Service business unit. Since July 2020, he has successfully led the Central Europe region as Senior Vice President. Thomas Spiering has been a member of the CLAAS Group Executive Board since 1 October 2023. His responsibilities include the Self-propelled Harvesters business unit and the Manufacturing service unit, including CLAAS Industrietechnik.

Fully qualified lawyer, joined the CLAAS Group in 2022 and is responsible for the legal department as Group Executive Director and General Counsel.

A theologian with senior management experience in industry and commerce, he joined the CLAAS Group in 2018 as Executive Director of the CLAAS Group and Labour Director with responsibility for Human Resources and Organisation.
