After Sales

From the CLAAS machine out in the field to the smallest every-day part: all cogs, whether large or small, must inerlock for careful sowing to result in a successful harvest and processes to run smoothly.

Fast and efficient support and optimum parts availability for our customers are our core areas of expertise. We work hand-in-hand with our dealers to develop the After Sale business and so contribute to customer satisfaction and to the growth and success of CLAAS.

Finance, Controlling and Accounting

Our core activities in the finance division at CLAAS are financial reporting and management, controlling, taxation and customs, accounting and treasury. Rest assured, you can count on us!

Controlling:

Group Controlling supports our management and in so doing, helps the Group achieve its goals and contributes to its long-term success. We design and facilitate goal definition, financial planning, and forecasting processes to support decision-makers. Through effective control and monitoring systems, we ensure high data quality and transparent operating results. We draw up functional guidelines for the global controlling organisation, set standards and put in place controls. Our remit also includes the development of digital tools and processes and the optimisation of capital allocation between business units.

 

Finance:

Colleagues in Group Finance & Financial Services devise strategies to implement innovative external financing concepts for the CLAAS Group itself as well as trade finance concepts throughout the entire CLAAS supply chain, including financial solutions for end customers and dealers. Other major components of the finance division include the management of risk in the financial market and the CLAAS credit portfolio, asset management, liquidity control and planning, and the management of bank and capital market relations.

 

Accounting:

General Ledger Accounting incorporates accounting and external reporting and is responsible for preparing monthly financial statements and analysing the data. These statements are essential for financial control purposes and for internal and external reporting. Preparing the annual report in compliance with the German commercial code (HGB) and International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS) is a core function of this division.

Tech & IT

We develop software and system solutions to connect people to machines and services worldwide. Our aim is to drive forward the digitalisation of the CLAAS Group and of our products. We work continuously to safeguard and optimise the group-wide CLAAS IT infrastructure. From support and system administration to hardware and web design: our IT team covers a broad spectrum. With us, you can embark on a career in the following areas:

IT Governance:

Using appropriate IT solutions, this division deals with the detailed organisation of IT within the Group. It aims to provide efficient IT administration, structured IT architecture management, strong IT security and general master data management.

 

Business Applications & Process Consulting:

This team deals with various operational applications, depending on the sector. For example, some colleagues develop Sales & Service solutions, while others are concerned with Supply Chain Management & Logistics or Finance & HR applications.

 

Custom Development & Core Platform:

Colleagues here focus on Software Engineering, Reporting & Analytics and Integration Services.

 

IT Infrastructure & Operations:

This department is responsible for IT Workplace, which encompasses all IT equipment and software used by our internal CLAAS employees for day-to-day IT tasks, as well as Data Center, Network and Middleware.

Sales & Marketing

Our Sales and Marketing divisions work closely with one another to inspire our customers with first-class CLAAS agricultural machinery products and services.

Marketing covers a wide range of fields from brand management to the effective marketing of products and services. This requires an in-depth understanding of customer needs and a firm focus on global markets, customer benefits and target groups. The Group Marketing division develops and coordinates differentiated and integrated ways of engaging with target groups at analog and digital touchpoints on the customer journey. Colleagues in this field continually analyse data which provides the basis for the targeted implementation, control and optimisation of strategic and operational marketing activities. Through our Marketing Automation and Performance Marketing strategy, we aim to increase efficiency and create opportunities to engage with our customers quickly and on a personal level. Our goal is to optimise systems and processes to ensure that our customers' experience is a positive one.

 

In contrast, the aim of Sales is to sell the finished product to the customer via various different strategies and measures. Tasks here include product and sales marketing and sales per se. Analysing the market on a daily basis and taking into account regional and cultural preferences are particular important here – after all, customer satisfaction is our number one priority.
