Efficient, agile, effective.
How can a tedder with a working width of more than 10 m be transported safely from the farm to the field on public roads? CLAAS had an answer to this question back in 1997: the VOLTO 1050 with its patented folding mechanism was the first tedder to fold to a width of 2.97 m. This keeps the tedder below the maximum permissible width of 3 m so that it can be driven on public roads.
The VOLTO 1050 is also groundbreaking in another way: this tedder has a night swathing function. When making hay, it makes a lot of sense to produce night swaths, especially when harvest windows are short. The hay then absorbs less moisture overnight and dries more quickly. All CLAAS VOLTO tedders have a night swath gearbox that reduces the rotor speed by 1/3. This means that the crop is gathered in several small swaths, reducing your harvesting time.
