CLAAS FARMPOINT™ Adding New Location in Webster County, Iowa

The new year will bring new options for CLAAS customers on the highly productive cropland located near Fort Dodge, Iowa, with the opening of a new CLAAS FARMPOINT location. The mobile-first, technology-driven dealership owned by CLAAS has signed a lease agreement on a temporary location in Barnum, IA and already has its first three experienced technicians hired to support area farmers. 

“In August we held a town-hall meeting with the CLAAS customers in central Iowa. The feedback we received was clear: Come, and come quickly,” explained Senior Vice President of CLAAS Americas Region, Eric Raby. “The temporary location allows us to set up shop now, while we work on a permanent location targeting the I-35 corridor. We will be finishing out the Barnum location this winter; stocking it with parts while we get our service trucks and parts delivery vehicles ready before farmers can get their equipment back in the fields.”

Customers will be able to receive service on their CLAAS combines from Ziegler for another year – through the end of 2025 – as part of the transition plan between CLAAS and their outgoing dealer. The CLAAS FARMPOINT location opening this spring, and another CLAAS FARMPOINT location which opened last summer in Le Mars, Iowa, are transforming the CLAAS dealer network in Iowa. These two dealerships, along with the expansion of Porter’s Ag Solutions in Earlham, Iowa -- an existing CLAAS dealer now certified to service CLAAS combines – will help bridge the gap as CLAAS works to ensure that their customers have the support they need. 

According to CLAAS, one of the big advantages offered by CLAAS FARMPOINT will be product selection. In the past, only CLAAS LEXION and TRION combines were available to farmers in the region. The new stores will also offer the full CLAAS tractor range, JAGUAR forage harvesters, and a wide selection of CLAAS balers and hay tools.

The CLAAS FARMPOINT location will be different in other ways as well. Unlike a traditional dealership, CLAAS FARMPOINT will focus on bringing the dealership to the farm. “Our service trucks and parts vans make it easy to perform maintenance, make most repairs and otherwise engage with farmers on a personal level where they live,” said Raby. “Farmers are more than welcome to come visit our dealership, but with our remote service capabilities our technicians can often detect service needs before the farmer – making on-farm repairs and parts delivery quick and seamless.”
