The DISCO DUO is fitted with load-sensing comfort hydraulics as standard. You can control the mower units via a tractor terminal, a CEMIS 700 or any other ISOBUS terminal on the market.

When both lateral intake augers are swung closed, the crop is deposited in a loose swath. Conversely, when both cross-conveyor augers are swung open, the crop is deposited in a wide swath for more intensive drying. For maximum flexibility, a single lateral intake auger can be swung open individually—even while driving from the comfort of the cab. This allows partial width placement and ensures that you can move crop at the edge of the field inwards without loss or pre-swathing from 59 feet (18 m) to 39 feet 4 in (12 m) when driving back and forth.

For maximum throughput capacity, CLAAS uses a conical lateral intake auger, whose diameter increases towards the inside (towards the swath). In combination with the conical conveyor channel, even large quantities of crop can be easily and loosely deposited to form an evenly shaped swath. Sheer bars at the auger outlet and conveyor pockets, which create extra space behind the lateral intake auger, ensure smooth crop flow and prevent material build-up.

Extremely user-friendly and easy to operate

Using the ISOBUS terminal, the lateral intake augers can be swung open and closed individually, even while driving. When the unit auger, housing and trough—is swung closed, it is supported across its full width directly behind the MAX CUT mower bed. This ensures that the conveyor channel is completely closed, thereby preventing any loss of forage.

To achieve true wide spreading, the lateral intake augers are swung open and completely removed from the crop flow. When the crop is gathered inwards on one side, it strikes the flexibly adjustable swath formers, which prevent it from being thrown over and thus ensure neat depositing.

Various control options are available depending which model you choose. For example, BUSINESS models come with load-sensing comfort hydraulics as standard. They can be operated via a tractor terminal, a CEMIS 700 or any other ISOBUS terminal on the market. CONTOUR models are controlled via the tractor control units with preselection as standard.

The two telescopic arms, each with a 12.5 ft (3.80 m) wide MAX CUT mower bar, can be continuously adjusted to the front mower via the terminal. The protected, inner, travel measurement rams provide flexible overlap setting capability, allowing a greater overlap on tight bends or on slopes, for example. For transport purposes, the mower units can be folded up and collapsed telescopically, allowing up to nearly 20 cm of ground clearance. This makes for a compact transport position of less than 13.13 ft (4 m) with a maximum working width of 35 ft (10.7 m).

The 2' 3" (700 mm) hydraulic lateral adjustment is accomplished by the central arm, which features an extra-wide mounting bracket. This is key to achieving perfect ground-contour following at all times. The double guide stabilizes the mower unit under high loads.

A tilt sensor mounted on the headstock provides optimal assistance for mowing on slopes. Automatic control of the telescopic travel in the DISCO 1100 and the adjustment range in the DISCO 9700 models enables not just the ground pressure (ACTIVE FLOAT) but also the position of the rear mower units to be adapted to the gradient
This helps to prevent drift and avoids unmown strips on sloping ground – ensuring a clean cut whatever the terrain.

A COMFORT version of the DISCO 1010 is also available, which combines the simple basic functions with ISOBUS operation. Folding and unfolding is controlled by one control unit, so the lift can be integrated into the headland management. The load-sensing hydraulics automatically control protective cover folding, pivoting to the rear and the transport lock. Further functions can be conveniently controlled via ISOBUS or the function keys, e.g. rapid adjustment of the ACTIVE FLOAT pressure on both sides.

The combined spool valve and ISOBUS operation in the DISCO COMFORT is particularly useful for customers operating under constantly changing conditions.

This option includes a hydraulic transport lock, hydraulic protective cover folding, and an automatic individual lift function, which preselects the second mowing unit as soon as the first is raised for optimum ease of operation. For this you need a double-acting control unit instead of the single-acting one – the function is operated via the CEMIS 10 terminal. PLUS operation is particularly recommended for tractors with few or mechanical control units.

These DISCO models are the perfect choice if you simply want to mow – using professional equipment, but without electronics: folding, mowing, lifting – all via one single-acting spool valve. To control the ACTIVE FLOAT while underway, you simply need another single-acting spool valve. Pivoting backwards and forwards is controlled via a double-acting spool valve.

Option: direct individual lifting function.With an additional single-acting control unit, you can lift each mowing unit individually via a separate control unit. Or use the headland management system to lift both mowing units together, making the most of the tractor's intelligence.

The DISCO 1010 TREND and COMFORT models offer you a large working width of 31' 9" - 32' 5" (9.70 and 9.90 m) – depending on the desired overlap. And with CLAAS you get two more mowing discs, making nine in total – for a genuine 12' 5" (3.80 m) working width per mower unit!Ideal on the road – compact and close to the tractor without endangering oncoming traffic during turning maneuvers. Even steep field entrances can be negotiated with ease. The tilt angle of the mower units also makes for easy hitching and unhitching. Vector folding is provided by an additional valve in the ram of the hydraulic collision protection. What's more, the mower units easily pivot inwards to give you a clear view in the rear mirror
