Suspension.

ACTIVE FLOAT enables you to respond quickly and easily to all sorts of different conditions, such as wet spots or dry hillocks, and non-uniform crop material. The mower ground pressure can be flexibly adjusted with a single-acting spool valve even while the machine is working. The current setting can easily be read from a pressure gauge, which is clearly visible from the cab.

Speed reduction.

All DISCO mowers can be operated at a reduced PTO speed of 850 rpm when conditions allow. This 'integrated economy PTO' significantly reduces fuel consumption."Reducing the PTO speed enables farms to cut fuel consumption by up to 22% on average. With a DISCO 9200 C AUTO SWATHER this equates to around 1.16 litres per hectare, or around 7 litres per hour." A student at Kiel University of Applied Sciences obtained these results in 32 field trials.

Tine conditioner.

Tine conditioners with V-shaped tines in a spiral configuration are ideal for harvesting grass crops. Conditioning intensity is set via a baffle plate. Flexible mounting allows the tines to deflect and pass around any objects that find their way into the conditioner – stones, for example. This avoids repair costs. The mown crop can also be spread over the entire working width with an optional wide crop spreader, or deposited in a single swath with adjustable swathing plates.

Roller conditioner with polyurethane rollers.

Leafy crops such as alfalfa call for protective conditioning. The aim is to crush the stalks without destroying the leaves and thus wasting them. This is where the DISCO mower with roller conditioner comes into its own. The durable, polyurethane V-shaped interlocking rollers crush the hard stalks while protecting the leaves. The conditioning intensity can be continuously adjusted via a spring-preload mechanism, which also protects the rollers from foreign objects.

A double roller drive run via a specially developed scissor gearbox is optionally available – for maximum throughput in very bulky crops. Adjustable swathing plates allow for variable swath formation.

Roller conditioner with steel rollers.

Optional steel roller conditioners effective handle even thick-stemmed crops like sorghum.

The specially designed roller profile with tapered edges ensures intensive conditioning and uniform wilting, even with heavy or wet material.

Steel rollers are particularly hard-wearing and ensure a consistently high throughput thanks to the double roller drive

The models.

Sophisticated linkage geometry for outstanding ground-contour following.

DISCO MOVE.

The DISCO MOVE moves both horizontally and vertically, independently of the tractor linkage, and fully accommodates the mower lift height. The low position of the mower bar pivot point for small bumps plus the MOVE linkage geometry for larger bumps ensure flawless adaptation to the terrain – with unique vertical freedom of movement of 1000 mm. ACTIVE FLOAT hydropneumatic suspension, adjustable while on the move, is integrated into the headstock as standard.

Hitching and unhitching.

No additional support stands are needed for hitching and removal. The headstock is also very compact, ensuring a clear view ahead.

Comfortable handling.

An adjustment guide mounted on the front mower indicates the correct lower link height at a glance. Colour-coded KENNFIXX^® connectors with clear icons simplify the process of connecting and disconnecting hydraulic hoses. Customers can select their preferred side for mounting the hydraulic hoses and pressure gauge, depending on the tractor equipment.

Multifunctional headstock.

The unique headstock makes mower attachment quick and easy. Mounting is either via the tractor front linkage or the three-point quick hitch coupler.

Simultaneous control of front and rear mowers.

DISCO MOVE makes an outstanding partner for a DISCO large-scale mower. Depending on the equipment options installed, the front mower can be operated directly via the large-scale mower hydraulics. Additional features deliver superior work performance, and driver stress is further reduced through automated processes.

Optional double mirrors mounted on the mower increase road safety at difficult road junctions.

The right decision.

PROFIL front mowers.

PROFIL front mowers are simply unbeatable. Combining them with a rear or large-scale mower creates a true dream team of mowing excellence. Even when used on their own, they deliver outstanding results. The patented PROFIL linkage geometry ensures flawless ground-contour following, whatever the terrain.

Three-dimensional ground-contour following.

PROFIL linkage geometry gives the mowers three-dimensional ground-contour following capability, independent of tractor movement.

The front mower is hitched on a pivot support which enables it to adapt perfectly to contours transverse to the direction of travel.

Trailed pivot point.

Placement of the pivot close to the ground provides reliable longitudinal contour following. The low floor trajectory prevents mower elements from digging into the ground – protecting the grass cover and allowing higher mowing speeds. The result is a clean and consistent cut.

Maintenance and cleaning.

The protective covers fold upwards all the way around, allowing easy access to the mower bed and all maintenance points – ideal for knife changes, for example.

Like all DISCO front mowers, the mower has an integrated knife box with replacement knives. The drive shafts have a lubrication interval of 250 hours, which further reduces maintenance time and costs.

Compact and powerful.

DISCO 3150 F disc mower.

The DISCO 3150 F is also equipped with MAX CUT professional-level technology. The tunnel effect minimises crude ash content – a key requirement for top-quality forage. A swathing disc and half-drum are included as standard equipment, ensuring the crop is laid in a clean swath.

For the DISCO 3150 F, there is a choice of either adjustable spring suspension or ACTIVE FLOAT suspension.

Intelligent transverse oscillation.

The inclined pivot point ensures perfect ground-contour following to protect the grass cover and keep the crop material clean.

Sturdy structure.

The DISCO 3150 F front mower offers characteristic CLAAS quality. All components have the same quality standards and material thickness specifications as the front mowers in the PROFIL model series.

Compact and close to the tractor.

The low pivot point means that the DISCO PROFIL follows the ground rather than the tractor.
The compact headstock mounted close to the tractor ensures optimum ground-contour following and a perfect cut.

With its unique design, the DISCO 3150 F is ideal for use with smaller and specialist tractors.
