“The advancements in LEXION technology with a VARIO V530 header helped me bring in 3,500 acres of canola, wheat, rye, oats and peas in record time."

“I farm 2,200 acres with my wife Tracy, daughter Jessica and son Brett and custom harvest an additional 1,000 acres – the LEXION gets it all pulled through. With a short growing season, hard to find labor and getting around cereal crops that tend to clump, producers like me in Canada need a top-performing header. I can proudly say that I am the first VARIO user in Canada and it delivers even more than I expected.”

“I would never have believed this engineering if I hadn’t seen it myself. Others didn’t believe it until they saw what we could do with this thing. The advancements in LEXION technology with VARIO helped me bring in 3,500 acres of straight cut canola, hard cut winter wheat, rye, oats and peas in record time and outperformed my old header.”

“For canola, the performance of the VARIO was fantastic - we gained over one mile an hour. I thought we might lose capacity in cereals when we decided to go with the VARIO, though. I thought an augertype header wouldn’t feed in as well. But in the end, we actually gained capacity there, too! With other headers, our cereals and canola tended to clump or wad. But the VARIO knife moves in and out on the table auger to suit all different conditions. We didn’t have the problems I expected at all.”

“We also use the VARIO for crops right on the ground and we didn’t have any damage to the sickle. The knives were just fine because of
the hydraulic lifts. The machine reacts to any object and the cutting bar flexes before the knife hits. Our old header just didn’t have that kind of responsiveness in the field.”
