ConceptOne powerful machine.
The challenge facing CLAAS engineers was as considerable as the XERION itself. They needed to construct a tractor that could do exactly that which causes big problems for 300 HP standard tractors without additional ballast loading and twin tires: provide enormous engine power even in the field. Moreover, an extremely versatile system vehicle was created, making numerous applications in modern farming possible for the first time. ![]() XERION SADDLE TRAC Tractive power for all situations. The XERION 3300 SADDLE TRAC is a pure traction machine with an implement storage area - for example for a seed tank - located behind the cab. ![]() Large footprint.Four same-sized wheels up to 2.05 meters in diameter ensure a huge footprint. This reduces slippage - regardless of how soft the ground is - to an optimal value between 5 and 10%. Maneuvrability is fully retained through the all-wheel drive. A 13-meter turning radius, just 12 meters with the right tires, makes this powerful package as agile as an automobile.
![]() More weight. Thanks to its full-frame construction, the XERION weighs about 13 tons. With just 2 tons of additional weight on the front axle, it offers much more tractive power than a standard tractor. The overall permissible weight on the street is 18 tons. Additionally, the frame supports a load limit of up to 30 tons. ![]() The ideal weight distribution. The XERION’s larger footprint and heavier weight are paired together with an ideal weight distribution - 53% in the front and 47% in the back (with the cab in the middle). These ideal figures ensure clear superiority in traction and guarantee more efficiency with the same HP when compared with standard tractors.
