CLAAS Silage Stretchfilm

Top fodder quality at maximum profitability.

The fodder quality of a silage bale depends considerably on the quality of the wrapping film. If you make savings in the wrong place, you may have a nasty surprise later.

CLAAS SILAGE STRETCHFILM is extremely high-quality and can meet all requirements.

High-tech, monitored manufacturing process.

The manufacturing process and raw materials are decisive factors in determining the product properties. The use of a 3-layer, blown and co-extruded film is preferred because of the excellent technical properties CLAAS SILAGE STRETCHFILM is made of three-layer polyethylene with a “LLDPE” structure.

High tear and puncture resistance.

The high elasticity in longitudinal and transverse direction is one clear benefit of the CLAAS SILAGE  STRETCHFILM. Even with pre-stretching of up to 70%, CLAAS wrapping film offers extremely high puncture and tear resistance.

Adhesion and UV protection.

The multi-layer structure of CLAAS SILAGE  STRETCHFILM enables various colours and adhesives to be applied and allows the film to be specifically protected against UV rays. The adhesive (PIB) is added directly to the raw material and melted in. The film does not develop its full adhesive power until pre-stretching, whereby the adhesive remains in the film. The valuable fodder is therefore not mixed with the adhesive. UV protection is present in every layer and therefore offers effective protection against damaging UV rays, which could destroy the film.

Your benefits:

  • High pre-stretching possible
  • High resistance to tear, in longitudinal and transverse direction
  • High puncture resistance
  • Optimum adhesion
  • Reliable unwinding
  • Reliable UV stabilisation
  • Identification number
  • Ease of handling during wrapping
  • Low gas permeability
  • Highly economical
