JAGUAR History

History of Success

1973 - How it all began.

In June 1973 CLAAS began the production of the legendary JAGUAR 60 SF of which 500 units were produced until the end of 1975.

1983 - the Jaguar performs.

Until the end of 1983, an additional 2,700 self-propelled forage harvesters left the production line. These machines instantly became a leading product in this field.

1984 - the 600 series.

New standards in foraging technology were set in 1984 with the JAGUAR 675, 680, 685, 690, 695 MEGA and 682.
The 6,800 machines that were built brought CLAAS world leadership with over 50% of the market share in Europe.

1993 - the 800 series.

In order to satisfy market demand and to increase customer satisfaction, the models JAGUAR 820, 840, 860, 880 were introduced in 1993.

1994 - the 10,000th JAGUAR.

By 1994 the magic 10,000 threshold had been broken in terms of the number of JAGUARs produced. To mark the occasion, the marketing team created a jubilee machine.JAGUAR

2000 - the 900 generation.

The march of progress does not stop with the JAGUAR either. The 900 generation of machines serves to prove this: With a further increase in power, improved chop quality and greater driver efficiency, CLAAS has once again succeeded in satisfying customer requirements.
