To minimize contamination of the forage, it is important for the mower to optimally adapt to changing ground contours. The tried-and-tested relief function ACTIVE FLOAT is now also available from CLAAS for the front mowers DISCO 3100 FC PROFILE and DISCO 3100 FRC PROFILE.

DISCO 3100 FC / FRC PROFIL with ACTIVE FLOAT

On front mowers with ACTIVE FLOAT, the tension springs are replaced by two single-acting cylinders which are connected to four pressure accumulators. A control valve ensures that the pressure is relieved quickly and precisely. It can be set from the cab and adjusted in line with momentary conditions – even while driving.

The hydropneumatic mower relief function ACTIVE FLOAT transfers the weight of the mower to the tractor; in this way, the frictional resistance produced when cutting is transformed into rolling resistance. Depending on operating conditions, this reduces fuel consumption by up to 20% and at the same time minimizes contamination of the forage.

With its DISCO 3100 FC / FRC PROFILE with ACTIVE FLOAT, CLAAS has set another milestone in mower technology and reinforced its leadership of the market in this class.
