2009The 11,111th CLAAS Combine Harvester with HYBRID SYSTEMHarsewinkel / Zschortau Combine harvesters equipped with the CLAAS HYBRID SYSTEM deliver maximum throughput and optimal harvesting quality. The 11,111th CLAAS combine harvester with HYBRID SYSTEM, a LEXION 600, has now been delivered to its new owner, Agrar und Umwelt AG Loberaue – a farming business affiliated to the Südzucker Group near Leipzig. In addition to its LEXION 580, the farm now operates two CLAAS LEXION 600 combine harvesters with 10.5-metre-wide VARIO cutterbars that guarantee maximum productivity and economy.
The widely used and very successful HYBRID SYSTEM is a combination of the highly acclaimed APS, (Accelerated Pre Separation) system, conventional drum and concave and the Roto Plus separation rotors.
In terms of performance the LEXION 600 is without equal anywhere in the world. The combination of the APS cylinder accelerating crop to the drum gives even crop flow, allowing the drum to maximise threshing with gentle treatment of crop. The ROTO PLUS separation rotors after the drum are gentle with the straw, have an enormous capacity and highly effective at extracting those last few grains from the straw. The separating rotors with their matched concaves can be quickly and easily adjusted to suit ever changing harvest conditions.
Michael Peschke, Member of the Board of Management of Agrar und Umwelt AG, said: “We make no compromises on our technical equipment. For this reason, our LEXION 600 combine harvesters also come equipped with TERRA TRAC crawler running gear, which protects the ground and thus ensures sustainability in our agriculture.“
Agrar und Umwelt AG Loberaue farms a total area of approx. 3,400 hectares, including nearly 3,000 hectares of combine harvesting land. The farm has at its disposal a number of grain storage buildings with an aggregate storage capacity of 25,000 tons. Agrar und Umwelt AG Loberaue also operates as a holding company with several subsidiaries, engaged, for example, in turkey farming with 27,000 head of livestock and in the production of organic poultry feed.
