2008CLAAS factory in Chandigarh now in full operation
Factory opening in Chandigarh: On 16th october 2008 the entire factory assumed production. At a large ceremony, CLAAS India Limited, subsidiary of the globally operating CLAAS Group, presented its new combine harvester factory in Chandigarh, Punjab, to Indian agricultural-technology dealers. Numerous members of the CLAAS family, including the shareholder Cathrina Claas, Erika Claas, Stephanie, Volker Claas and Oliver Claastogether with the Managing Director of CLAAS India Limited, P. K. Malik and members of the management of the CLAAS Group Hermann Garbers, Jan-Hendrik Mohr and Lothar Kriszun greeted numerous customers and sales partners from India and overseas. Photo in front of the CROP TIGER: Erika und Cathrina Claas with employees of CLAAS India. The first assembly line in the new factory had been presented to the public in May 2008. Now, the entire factory assumed production. The new combine harvester model CROP TIGER 60 as well as a new version of the well established CROP TIGER 30 are manufactured. Both models excel through their modern thresher technology. Thanks to a TAF system (Tangential Axial Flow), both models are able to harvest the widest range of crops in even the most difficult harvesting conditions: from wheat through rice and basmati right up to pulses. The high centrifugal forces generated by the TAF system in CLAAS combine harvesters achieve a very high threshing performance with low crop losses. These features make both models the ideal harvester for the extremely varied harvesting conditions in India.
In the look of CLAAS: Elephants are to be seen also in modern India. |
