CLAAS Purchasing has once again awarded its "Oscars" to top suppliers. 230 participants from 16 countries in Europe, America, Asia and Africa got together in the CLAAS Technoparc for the 2nd International Suppliers’ Day.
Deputy Chairman of Shareholders´ Committee Cathrina Claas and management spokesperson Rüdiger A. Günther spoke of the company's development in order to inform partners of CLAAS' strategy and plans for the future. Josip Tomasevic, the group's head of purchasing, explained what CLAAS wanted and expected of its suppliers.
At the CLAAS Group's Suppliers' Day, 24-year old agricultural machinery mechanic Matthias Lause from Bad Driburg presented an adventure that will surely put him in the Guinness Book of Records: He wants to drive around the world in a tractor in 180 days.
CLAAS was all ears. The company is providing the young globetrotter with a tractor from latest ARES series. Another company gave him a mobile home to tow.
The financial side of things remains unsure however, so Lause is still looking for additional sponsors whose logo or banner he's prepared to display on his rolling home for maximum advertising impact.
Award ceremony at the CLAAS International Suppliers' Day GKN OffHighway Systems received the "Oscar" for best supplier. Our photo shows the winners in the individual categories together with Cathrina Claas, Rüdiger A. Günther and Josip Tomasevic.
